Seti@Home is an ambitious project to search for extraterrestrial life by utilizing millions of computers around the world, through a small screensaver that analyses tiny packets of data during the computers idle periods. Although no signals have been found to date, the project has been successful in it's distributed processing abilities.
The Observatory has been an active participant in the Seti@home project since May 17th 1999. We are currently averaging 2500 work units per year. If you would like to learn more about the Seti@home project click on the logo above to visit their website.
